The Making of a Dad

The Making of A Dad fatherhood classes at City on a Hill use the nationally developed Quenching the Father Thirst curriculum to explore challenging issues that men face as dads. The group offers a safe place for men to meet and discuss topics presented by certified facilitators, and to learn new ways to create and maintain healthy relationships with their children. Fathers play a critical role in the development of children. The increase in households headed by single mothers and high rates of divorce in the nation compel a counter response to reconnect fathers with their sons and daughters. The Making of A Dad uses research-based strategies to teach and motivate men to be effective fathers to their children.
